There are times when our peace-full living is disrupted. It can happen suddenly, almost like a switch being flipped, turning off the power of love, the power of faith, the power of hope. It can happen slowly and insidiously, leaving us stumbling around in the dark, often not knowing how, why or even when our evolution stopped and stagnation stepped in.
Some people never get back to who they were. They are forever lost in the pain, hypocrisy or overwhelmingness of their realities.
Some people stay in a barren no man’s land simply existing until their time in this life crashes into its expiration date.
Some people move forward step-by-step until they walk back out into the light of love, the light of faith, the light of hope.
“HOPE”
toxic
hostile
recalcitrant
sequestered in oceans of pain
severed from all that has value
afraid
powerless
melancholy
depressed by the realities of life
desiring the freedom to breathe
aware
standing up
moving forward
seeing a light in the tunnel
searching for other survivors
seeking
reaching out
holding a hand
realizing all is not lost
rescued by the sunlight of hope

May today bring you peace.
May you dance in the light of love.
May you sit with the light of faith.
May you never lose the light of hope.
